Introduction =================================================== The WiFi Sensor Software provides both PC-based or Cloud-based data storage features and an easy-to-use software interface for setting up multiple WiFi-500 Sensor Series devices. The settings for sample rate, data transmission rate, temperature units, high/low alarms, and many other options are software-selectable Users can also set up instant email alerts of alarms, power, battery charge, and network connection events using the Cloud interface. =================================================== 2. System Requirements =================================================== * OS: Microsoft® Windows® 10/8/7 operating system (32-bit/64-bit versions) * Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 must be enabled for installation. * Microsoft Excel® (for viewing and graphing comma-delimited .txt files) * A WiFi-500 Sensor Series device. * A Microsoft-compatible mouse ======================= 3. Installation ======================= The WiFi Sensor Software is installed from the file WiFiSensor-1_30_48.exe. IMPORTANT * Install the WiFi Sensor Software before connecting your WiFi-500 Sensor Series device * The WiFi Sensor Software install program requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 to be enabled on a computer running Windows 8/8.1/10. The .NET Framework 2.0 is bundled with the .NET Framework 3.5 on these operating systems. To learn how to enable the .NET Framework 3.5 (and therefore, the .NET Framework 2.0) through Control Panel on Windows 8/8.1/10, refer to https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh506443(v=vs.110).aspx#ControlPanel. ======================= 4. Getting Started ======================= Once you install the WiFi Sensor Software, connect your device(s), let the driver files load, and then launch the software. ============================= 5. Fixed Issues ============================= |610584| The help file included with software Version 1.29.86 did not document the different battery status displays of the WIFI-502. They are now documented in the help included with software version 1.30.48. |610579| The WiFi-502 was no longer operational with software Version 1.29.86. Updating to software version 1.30.48 and installing the recommended firmware updates resolves this issue. |474496| Software version 1.29.86 failed to save the WiFi-501 settings (local device, not cloud) if the High Temperature Alarm Threshold is set from 66 °C to 70 °C. The upper limit is now set to 60 °C, eliminating this issue. |367631| Software version 1.29.86 sometimes failed to save device setting. This issue has been resolved in version 1.30.48.
